Cities are enormous bodies of peoples desires.
Night is a territory where it is possible to take risks, to be as different as you wish, to wander, and get lost.
When I work at night, I can forget about prescribed order. I can set aside rules and agreed paths, and work out of other directions. I try to never plan, calculate or define in advance.
I let the photography happen in a place where risk and chance have their say. Images impose presence, they impose a violence, a void.
I try to make photography that is not a representation of a definition I might have of the world or society.
I let photography be what it is, a fragile trace of things that evade definition or explanation.
I believe in romance as a harmony that exists due to the complexity of our Universe transitioning from order to disorder. A force that travels through time since our earliest moment of creation. Photography is a tool that somehow reveals that energy, where truths can be elevated and revealed.
I am not afraid of death.
